Background Information

Michael Kuhn devotes his practice to arbitration, mediation and other forms of alternative dispute resolution. Currently, he serves on state arbitration panels in Texas, Virginia, Washington and Colorado, resolving disputes between Health Plans and Providers/Facilities over the reasonable cost of medical care and services. He has arbitrated hundreds of arbitrations, and has facilitated the resolution of hundreds of mediations, since beginning the ADR practice in 2015.

Before beginning his ADR practice in 2015, Michael was a partner in the Trial Section and, for many years, served as General Counsel to Bracewell LLP, with responsibilities for dispute resolution, risk management, loss prevention, legal ethics and compliance programs.

Before joining Bracewell LLP, Michael Kuhn served as an Assistant District Attorney (1976-1979) and as a Law Clerk to Hon. Joe Ingraham on the United States Court of Appeal, Fifth Circuit (1975-1976).
